A high alumina refractory brick is a refractory product with Al2O3 content of 75%. High alumina bricks belongs to a kind of refractory material, the main component of this refractory product is Al2O3, belongs to the content of aluminum oxide is higher than 48% of aluminum silicate refractory products. It is a kind of neutral refractory with the content of alumina above 48%.
This series of refractory bricks is mainly made of bauxite or other raw materials with high content of alumina after molding and calcination. High thermal stability, fire resistance above 1770℃. High alumina bricks is mainly used for lining of blast furnace, hot blast furnace, electric furnace roof, blast furnace, reverberatory furnace and rotary kiln. In addition, high aluminum brick is also widely used as open hearth regenerative lattice brick, pouring system with plug head, nozzle brick and so on.
The refractory of high alumina brick is higher than that of clay brick and semisilicate brick, reaching 1750~1790℃, which belongs to advanced refractory.
2. Softening temperature under load
Because Al2O3 is high in high aluminum products, less miscellaneous mass, forming less fusible vitreous, so the softening temperature under load is higher than that of clay brick, but because mullite crystal did not form reticular structure, so the softening temperature under load is still not as high as that of silicon brick.
3. The slag resistance
High aluminum brick Al2O3 more, close to neutral refractory material, can resist acid slag and alkaline slag erosion, because it contains SiO2, so the ability of alkali slag than acid slag capacity is weak.
