Ceramic fiber rope, similar to ceramic fiber blanket and board, is a kind of refractory ceramic fiber materials. The rope is made of high-quality ceramic fiber as raw material, adding light-spun yarn and woven by special process. It can be classified into ceramic fiber twisted rope, ceramic fiber braided rope, ceramic fiber round braided rope, ceramic fiber square braided rope, etc.
Ceramic fiber rope is woven from heat-resistant alloy wire or ceramic fiber yarn reinforced with alkali-free glass yarn. Generally speaking, ceramic fiber rope can be classified into ceramic fiber twisted rope, ceramic fiber braided rope, ceramic fiber round braided rope, ceramic fiber square braided rope and so on according to the production process, the yarn reinforcement material and different cross-section shape of rope. Actually, ceramic fiber braided rope and twisted rope are the mostly used among them. Ceramic fiber braided ropes are made from ceramic fiber enclosed in a glass fiber braid or SS wire braid to give excellent handling strength, and twisted ropes are made from ceramic fiber yarn and reinforced with fiberglass/SS wire.
Ceramic fiber braided rope can be divided into ceramic fiber round braided rope and ceramic fiber square braided rope, which is mainly used for sealing and heat insulation of industrial kiln furnace doors, flue pipes and brick masonry expansion joints.

It is a heat-insulating material and is an ideal substitute for asbestos rope, which is very flexible & resilient as compared to braided rope.
